- Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Gresy introduces the Barbaresco 'Martinenga', a prized Nebbiolo of rare complexity and elegance. This label comes from the vineyard of the same name which represents the jewel in the crown of the winery, from which the most important wines are obtained, towards which particular attention is paid. The Additional Geographic Mention “Martinenga” is one of the most suitable in the entire area and is located in the heart of the municipality of Barbaresco, bordering the famous crus of Asili and Rabaja. Moreover, this plot of land has been the exclusive property of the Marchesi di Gresy since 1797, making it a de facto "monopole" to use the French term, the only one in the entire denomination.
- Marchesi di Gresy Barbaresco "Martinenga" is a 100% Nebbiolo from vines planted on soils rich in marl and limestone with a south and south
- west exposure, located between 220 and 290 meters above sea level. After the harvest, the bunches are transferred to the cellar for alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature with approximately 30 days of maceration on the skins. Malolactic fermentation is carried out completely and the mass ages first for a year in new barriques, first and second passage, then for a further 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and finally for another year in the bottle before being released for sale.
