AMARONE CLASSICO RISERVA LE RAGOSE 2013 DESCRIPTION
- The Amarone Classico Riserva by Le Ragose reveals a complex and fascinating personality, revealing itself to be very important and articulated on the nose and on the palate. A label of great depth, which presents itself at exactly the right point of maturation. This is thanks to the philosophy that Paolo and Marco Galli, owners of the Le Ragose winery, have always placed at the basis of the production of Amarone. Both are rightly convinced that this red wine requires the right amount of aging in wood and in the bottle, beyond market logics that would allow the release of even more recent vintages. A winning and convincing choice, which allows us to present, year after year, bottles that are complete and ready to reveal all their beauty.
- Le Ragose produces this Amarone Classico Riserva starting from Corvina, to which are added Rondinella, Corvinone and other vines authorised by the regulations. The vines are grown according to the simple Trentino pergola system, and sink their roots into soils characterised by red clay and limestone. After harvesting, the grapes are left to dry for several months inside the fruit cellar, and are then fermented thanks to indigenous yeasts, remaining on the skins for around 20
- 30 days. We then proceed to the refinement phase, which lasts 8 years and is carried out in large oak barrels.
- The Amarone Riserva Classico from the Le Ragose winery presents itself to the eye with a dark ruby red color, crossed by light garnet nuances. The aromas that alternate on the nose are deep, and move on evolved notes of fruit and sweet spices. On the palate it is of excellent body, rich, velvety, with a warm sip thanks to the decisive alcohol content; the tannic texture is evident, but is finely integrated into the general structure of the wine. A bottle with which Le Ragose gives us a powerful and robust sip, which embodies the tradition of one of the most important red wines in Italy.
