- Tequila Blanco from the Mexican brand Espolon is a distillate with a sweet and pure personality, never unbalanced. The 'Blanco' category defines those tequilas that are not aged in any type of wood, but bottled directly after the distillation process or left to rest for a few weeks only in steel tanks. The illustration on the label is inspired by the 19th century Mexican War of Independence and in particular by the works of art of the engraver José Guadalupe Posada, famous for his calaveras, representations of skulls that have become a symbol of the celebration of El día del los muertos.
- Espolon Tequila Blanco is produced with 100% Blue Weber agave grown on the volcanic soils of the state of Jalisco. Once ripe, the plants are hand
- picked by the jimadores and cleaned to use only the so
- called "piña", the core of the agave. The pi±a is then cooked in stainless steel autoclaves designed by master tequilero Cirilo, founder of Espolon, and is then ground in order to extract the sugary juice contained within. This is started on the alcoholic fermentation process accompanied by classical music, as Cirilo was convinced that sound waves are able to help the yeasts in the transformation of sugars into alcohol. The subsequent distillation phase takes place in a combination of column stills and traditional stills and the tequila is finally bottled directly in the Blanco version.
