The winery is family-run and was founded in 1760. Their idea has always been to go beyond national borders to export a product that could be appreciated all over the world, reaching a varied public in 80 different countries. . Since 1900 they have become the official supplier of Champagne to the British Royal Family, thanks to Queen Victoria who was the first to taste and appreciate their wines. The label always features the “Lanson Cross” also known as the “Maltese Cross”, a symbol of openness, kindness and hospitality._x000D_ _x000D_ The Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes of the Champagne Brut “Le Black Reserve” Lanson are the result of a careful selection in the vineyard of the best bunches to be destined for the cellar work. The family owns about 100 different crus and those of this product are a mix between Grand Cru and Premier Cru. The climate is continental with very hot and muggy summers and harsh winters, often subject to sudden frosts. The harvest is carried out manually and in the cellar the alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel and a refermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise method. It refines for at least 60 months on the lees._x000D_ _x000D_ Lanson's Champagne Brut "Le Black Reserve" presents itself in the glass with an intense straw yellow colour with brilliant golden reflections and a fine and particularly persistent perlage. On the nose it releases aromas of freshly baked bread crust. baked, honey, cinnamon and licorice root; in the mouth it is full-bodied, balanced and with intense fruity aromas with a pleasant and long final persistence. It pairs perfectly with dishes based on mixed cold cuts, white meats and first courses based on vegetables seasonal; also interesting with raw fish tartare and blue cheeses.
