- Clase Azul interprets Tequila Plata, the entry level typology of the emblematic Central American distillate, in a masterful way, offering enthusiasts a superior creation. The great value of craftsmanship is expressed through the shapes and blue decorations of the decanter, exclusively handcrafted by the glass artists of the center of Santa Maria Canchesda: a crystal that represents a unique work, modeled according to ancestral techniques.
- Tequila Plata of Clase Azul represents the pinnacle of white Tequila, that is, the distillate of pure spirit not aged in wood. The blue agaves from the high central plateaus of Los Altos de Jalisco, matured naturally in the field for a period of between 6 and 8 years , provide the pi±as that will be ground for the extraction of the aromatic aguamiel, loaded with sugars. The fermentation process is induced by yeasts specially developed for Clase Azul, while the cooking in traditional brick ovens continues for a period of 72 hours. The Tequila is finally distilled in copper discontinuous stills, to obtain the maximum expressive refinement and then integrated with pure well water, filtered by a special five
- phase process, in order to reach 40 degrees alcohol. The spirit is refined for 60 days in steel vats.
- The Tequila Plata by Clase Azul is clear and brilliant, with shimmering silver reflections. The nose expresses itself in perfect continuity through very fresh citrus aromas of orange zest and lemongrass, adorned with a nuance balsamic mint leaves. The green notes of matcha tea and Granny Smith apple open the scene to a warmer sensation of vanilla, a spiciness that is also clearly found in the tasting, together with mentholated, tropical touches of guava and ripe of sweet citrus fruits. The sip is refreshing, crisp and tense, softened by a very balanced touch of sweetness. The combinations are unexpected: from white fish marinated in citrus fruits to cheeses, both fresh and aged, from chimichurri sauce, the typical Argentine preparation based on parsley, garlic, chilli pepper, oregano and basil, to ripe strawberries with white chocolate.
