Chateau Lauduc's Bordeaux Superieur 'Tradition' is a blend of several red grape varieties, but a majority of Merlot. After fermentation, the wine is put into French and American oak barrels, which give softness and typical evolutionary hints. On the nose, in addition to typical red fruit aromas, there are hints of cocoa and vanilla. On the palate, it is warm, tannic, but velvety smooth in the mouth. Delicate drinking makes it ideal with light dishes, but thanks to its structure it is also perfect with stewed red meat dishes
- BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR 'TRADITION' CHATEAU LAUDUC 2020 DESCRIPTION
- The Bordeaux Superieur 'Tradition' Chateau Lauduc is a red wine with a fruity and spicy aromatic profile, qualities that derive partly from the grapes and partly from the wooden barrels used in the aging process. The Bordeaux Superieur denomination includes a very large area coinciding with the entire wine region of Bordeaux and has more restrictive rules than the generic Bordeaux AOC. The varieties permitted for the reds are the traditional ones of the territory, namely Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, but also Malbec and Petit Verdot.
- Chateau Lauduc Bordeaux Superieur 'Tradition' originates from the union between grapes Merlot (90%) and smaller percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) and Cabernet Franc (5%), all varieties grown with an eye to the environment. Once fully ripe, the bunches are harvested mechanically and then destemmed, then subjected to 3
- 4 days of cold maceration. At this point 10
- 20% of the must is removed for bleeding and the remaining mass ferments for 2
- 3 weeks at a temperature between 26 and 30 ° C. The subsequent maturation period takes place for 50% of the wine in stainless steel tanks and for the remaining half in French oak barrels for a total duration of 12 months.
