- The "Centanario" 12 Years is a Rum much appreciated by enthusiasts for its characteristic personality. It is born in a historic and famous distillery in Nicaragua. For five generations Flor de Cana has produced great Rums based on ancient experience. The sugar cane used to produce the Rum is of local origin and grows on the volcanic soils rich in minerals, which are found around the large cone of the San Cristobal volcano. Molasses and cane juice of the highest quality are fermented and then distilled five times with traditional stills to obtain a Rum of extraordinary finesse and aromatic richness. The aging phase takes place in the hot and humid climate of the Caribbean area, using American oak barrels, previously used for the refinement of Bourbon.
