Ch¢teau La Chapelle is located in the south-east of Saint Emilion, on the border with the Castillon appellation and produces its wines in the Saint Emilion AOC.Merlot is a red grape variety made of small black berries which appeared towards the end of the 18th century. With a dark, dense colour, it is recognisable by its red and black fruit aromas and the superb range of flavours it develops as it ages, giving way to prunes, spices and notes of undergrowth. Its distinguished tannins make it one of the favourite grape varieties of the great wine estates.
