A very typical red wine, grown on the lava forming the petrified forest of Lesbos!
Straight from the island of Lesbos in Greece, this wine is produced with the ancient Chidiriotiko grape variety, revived by Ioannis Lamprou, grown on the lava that formed the petrified forest of Lesbos. This singular volcanic soil, very rich in sulphur, gives it the smoky aspects of St Joseph.Very typical, it is just extraordinary, it is a real invitation to travel off the beaten track, towards the Peloponnese! Its name Methymnaeos, an eulogy to Dionysus, evokes the wine of weddings and music.
