- The Merlot 'Quercegobbe' of Petra is a Bordeaux
- inspired red, rich, intense and complex , which best expresses the Mediterranean character of terroir. The grapes come from a particularly suitable parcel of the estate, which every year gives grapes of superior quality for balance and aromatic richness. The great ripeness of the fruit of a sunny and mild area like the Tuscan coast, allows the vine to give a red of great fruity pleasantness, accompanied by refined notes of tertiary evolution, due to the long refinement in wood. A bottle particularly suited to those who love a soft and elegant sip.
- The "Quercegobbe" is a Merlot that is born on the Tuscan property of the Moretti family, already owner of the famous Bellavista brand in Franciacorta. The Petra estate extends over about 60 hectares in Val di Cornia, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma. The Merlot grapes come only from the Quercegobbe vineyard, located in San Lorenzo Alto, a true company cru immersed in lush Mediterranean scrub, in a sunny and always well
- ventilated position facing the sea. The vines have a ™age of about 18 years and are planted on clay
- sandy soils, with calcareous components. At the end of the harvest, the best bunches are fermented in truncated cone
