The Bussia by Luigi Einaudi is a Barolo of great structure and elegance, aging for over 30 months in big oak caskets and in the bottle. Its intense ruby to garnet red introduces a rich bouquet of berries and ripe grapefruit, rose and violet in bloom, with spicy and balsamic hints. On the palate it develops from lightness to mineral depth, with a persistent and silky finish
- BAROLO 'BUSSIA' LUIGI EINAUDI 2019 DESCRIPTION
- The Barolo Bussia by Luigi Einaudi is one of the flagship labels of this historic winery in the Langhe. As per tradition, it is produced with pure Nebbiolo grapes that come from the vineyards of the Bussia cru, among the most prestigious and highly rated in the municipal area of Monforte d'Alba. This is a very classic version of Barolo, which, faithful to the most ancient traditions of the territory, involves a long refinement in large barrels. As is customary in the Bussia area, it is a red that combines elegance and important structure, with deep and complex aromas that give the sip a notable persistence of taste.
- Bussia is a great expression of the Langhe territory created by one of the most famous names in the Barolo denomination. The Luigi Einaudi winery manages some particularly valuable vineyards in different areas of the territory and has been producing wines with a typically traditional face for centuries. The estate extends over 145 hectares, of which only forty are cultivated with vineyards, with some parcels in some of the most highly regarded crus in the entire Langhe territory. The extraordinary quality of the grapes from the Bussia area allows us to create a high
- end label dedicated to those who love Barolo with character, destined for long aging. It is a splendid expression of the territory, which, thanks to a classic and accurate production process, restores the timeless charm of a great cru.
- The Barolo Bussia wine from the famous Luigi Einaudi winery is the fruit of the most recent acquisition of the company, which now also has a vineyard of about 6 hectares in this cru. The calcareous
- clayey marls of the area give the wines richness, structure and great longevity, with tertiary evolutions of extreme elegance. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 300
- 350 meters, with a south and south
- west exposure. Fermentation takes place in steel and cement tanks at a controlled temperature of about 30 °C and with a maceration on the skins for 3 weeks. The wine ages in large oak barrels for 30 months and completes the refinement with 6 months in the bottle. It has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The olfactory profile recalls the scents of violet, dried rose petals, aromas of small red berries and delicate spicy notes. On the palate it has a good structure, with tannins well integrated into the body of the wine and complex, elegant and deep aromas. The finish is long, fresh and mineral.
