The Series C from Vilafonte is the top model and only a very limited number of these are made and the Netherlands therefore only receives a handful of aircraft. The Series C 2020 has an intense ruby red color and a vibrant crimson rim and starts impeccably balanced and generous on the nose which is wrapped in elegant baking spices coming from almost 70% new French oak. The Series C is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 20% Malbec and 4% Cabernet Franc and therefore a South African Bordeaux. The wine is bursting with finesse, precision, elegance and juicy dark fruit. The Series C is full of flavor and has juicy blackberry essence, notes of black raspberry, brioche and cedar wood cigar box on the palate. All in full balance with fine-grained tannins, juicy acidity and a mineral tension in the mid-palate, ending with a long finish that evolves with persistence.
