This blend is a tribute to Henry Evans who planted the first vineyard of seven acres at Keyneton in 1853. The blend highlights the historical introduction of southern French and Spanish varieties to South Australia in those early pioneering days and reflects the history religion and culture of the Barossa.

Deep ruby with crimson hues. Fragrant floral aromas of violets over spicy blackberry raspberry and blueberry with underlying spice notes of anise and black pepper with sage bay leaf and cedar. The palate is spicy juicy and concentrated with ripe blueberry and freshly cut strawberry and plum creating layers of flavour with bright acidity and complexity from long fine savoury tannins./br>
