Nikka celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2024. In the run-up to this anniversary, the brand has launched a Discovery range from 2021 that unveils a key stage in the creation of its Yoichi and Miyagikyo single malts each year. The 2022 edition puts yeast at the forefront. This third ingredient, which is essential to the production of single malt, along with malt and water, is rarely mentioned by distilleries.This limited edition of Miyagikyo is distinguished by yeasts that promote the development of fragrances and flavors reminiscent of peach and apricot.
