WHISKY BLENDED SHERRY CASK 'AKASHI' GLASS PACK WHITE OAK DISTILLERY - 50CL DESCRIPTION_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ White Oak Distillery was founded in 1888 on the site of the ancient Eigashima factory: established in 1679, it represents one of the oldest Sake producers in Japan, based in the city of Akashi, near Kobe, overlooking the sea of Osaka Bay, along the southern coast of the country. White Oak was the first Japanese company to obtain a license to distill spirits, in 1919, and is therefore traditionally considered the first company to begin producing whisky in the land of the rising sun. Production remained modest for a long time and was reserved solely for distribution on the local market: all the whisky produced was used in a variety of blends known as "White Oak". The turning point towards greater openness came in 1984, when new premises specifically dedicated to whisky were founded. The workmanship remains excellently artisanal, with a level of quality that has become increasingly recognized over time._x000D_ _x000D_ The “Akashi” whisky made by the White Oak Distillery presented in this Glass Pack is composed of a blend of 70% grain whisky and the remaining 30% single malt from pure barley malt.
