- Talisker's Single Malt Whisky Port Ruighe€ is born on the famous Isle of Skye, off the coast of Scotland, famous throughout the world for its extraordinary tradition in the production of high
- quality spirits. It is in these cold and windy lands, to be precise in Carbost, that the Talisker Distillery is located, one of the most appreciated and rich in history ever. Founded way back in 1830, it is still an essential point of reference for all enthusiasts and lovers of the peaty, marine and salty aromas typical of Skye Island production.
- For the production of the Single Malt "Port Ruighe", the oldest and most artisanal distillation procedures are still followed today. According to tradition, the entire process takes place using classic stills with coils, which make the face of this refined distillate even more fascinating. The particular profile of the Single Malt "Port Ruighe" is due to the use of high quality raw materials. The water comes directly from the springs of Cnoc nan Speireag, the malt is of a single and selected variety, the peat is characterized by very intense aromas, which are then transferred to the glass, with the typical and elegant smoky notes. For the refinement, barrels previously used for Port are used, which give a particular soft and fruity aroma to the Whisky.
- The Single Malt Whisky "Port Ruighe" is a label that well tells the place of origin of the distillate. In the glass it presents itself with a golden amber color. The olfactory profile opens on ripe fruit aromas, embellished with iodine hints, smoky notes of peat and soft spices. On the palate it is warm and intense, with enveloping aromas, which from the fruity softness veer towards a finish with toasted, smoky hints and a salty touch typical of the Skye Island terroir.
