Puligny-Montrachet, together with Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet, forms the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the valhalla of chardonnay. Of this famous trio, Puligny is the smallest (235 ha in total) and the most illustrious. Within its borders are 4 of the 6 white Burgundy grands crus. Domaine Borgeot is located in the village of Remigny on the Côte de Beaune. It was founded in 1903 and is now run by fourth generation brothers Laurent and Pascal Borgeot. Their 23 hectares are located in the villages of Bouzeron, Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. The magic of Domaine Borgeot lies in the two people who make these charming wines. Pascal is calm, measured and brings an element of control over Laurent, who can't sit still for a minute. As the saying goes in Burgundy, looking at the person behind the wines gives you an idea of the style of wine in your glass. Domaine Borgeot wines show Pascal's calm restraint balanced with Laurent's exuberance and liveliness.
