- Cristal belongs to the luxury Champagne category, a very exclusive club of prestige Cuvees including Salon, Krug, Dom Perignon, Bollinger Grande Annee, Taittinger Comtes, Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill etc. Its blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay makes it princely and sophisticated with unconstrained length. There are numerous mesmerising Champagnes in the luxury cuvee category, but our favourite and that of our customers is Cristal. Originally bottled for Tsar Nicholas II, he feared assassination attempts so specified a clear, puntless bottle made of crystal, though made of in glass these days, the style of the bottle remains unique.
