Clio Jumilla, is produced by Bodegas El Nido from the famous winemaker Juan Gill. The grapes for this wine are made from 12 Ha -29.65 acres- Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and 32 Ha -79 acres- very old Monastrell, with a very low yield. The vineyards are older than 60 years. The grapes are harvested manually in small baskets to avoid bruising. The bunches are brought to triage tables where only the best grapes are selected. The wine is aged for 20-24 months in French and American new oak barrels where it acquires a very typical complexity. After that, the wine is always aged in the bottle for a few months and is then always released around the end of October/November of the year. The Clio is vinified by grandmaster Chris Ringland (with Parker good for 100/100). Given the enormous demand and very limited supply, this wine is, as also applies to the top model the EL Nido , the Blue Label (18 meses) from Juan Gil and the Corteo, the importers receive an allocation (which is always too little). Despite the price, this is still unique compared to other wines of the same quality and from that point of view a 'bargain'
