• 2021 Maculan Dindarello
Its own local variety of Muscat, the moscato gialli or moscato fior d'arancio, comes from the best areas of Veneto chosen for this variety. The slopes on which the grapes are planted consist of volcanic and tuff soils. Allowing it to ripen for an extra long time makes the grapes bursting with sugar. The grapes are picked and selected for their good condition, after which they are dried for a month. The drying of the grapes at Maculan takes place under natural conditions, in a dry attic. The grapes hang on large long strands, where only air movement is ensured, to get the moist air away from the grapes. A gentle fermentation produces a wine that is not too sweet, and in which all the fruit of the freshly picked grapes is still present. The wine is then aged for another three months in the bottle.
