The Christmas cake in the purest and ancient Alsatian tradition.

Bread stuffed with almond paste and decorated with dried and candied fruits, Stollen is a traditional Christmas cake of very ancient German origin. It dates back to the 1300s when it was prepared as a Christian symbol, representing Jesus in his swaddling clothes.
If the symbol is now obsolete, the tradition continues, the Stollen being a real essential of the Alsatian end
year celebrations. Its production is done from September to December only.
It is offered here in a tasty apple recipe, to be served hot or cold for delicious breakfasts, snacks and festive desserts!
